There are steps to follow properly for 3T MRI preparation. You will be informed of these by one of our staff members. Make sure you ask any questions you have and our competent staff will answer them to the best of their ability.
3T MRI preparation- Here are general tips to follow:
- Please advise us of any metal implants in your body, including pacemakers, aneurysm clips, spinal stimulators, and cochlear implants.
- Please wear loose, comfortable clothing that is metal free. We request that you do not wear clothing that has metal zippers, buttons, snaps, etc.
- Please do not wear any metal accessories such as jewelry, glasses, hairpins, or hairpins to your appointment, or please remove them prior to the appointment.
- If your MRI scan requires an intravenous contrast injection, you will need to have recent laboratory studies to document normal renal function prior to your exam. Please bring the lab studies with you at the time of your appointment or ask your doctor to fax us the results. We will be happy to call for them as well if need be.
