- If your scan requires oral contrast, please arrive 90 minutes before your appointment to drink the oral contrast. Alternatively, you can pick up your oral contrast prior to your examination date. If you choose this option, please ensure that you still drink the contrast 90 minutes prior to your appointment time.
- If your CT scan requires an intravenous contrast injection and you are diabetic, or have a history of kidney disease, you will need to provide recent lab results to document normal renal function prior to your examination. You may email these results, have your doctor send them to our office, or hand-carry them to our office. Please feel free to call our office if you need help obtaining the lab work.
- You may eat and drink before your examination. However, if you are receiving IV contrast, we recommend not eating a big meal one hour before your examination, as this can cause patients to become nauseous during the IV injection.
